General Schedule
Each day of the workshop will include a plenary session, in which a keynote presenter will deliver a 40 minutes presentation, followed by a 20 minutes response and a 30 minute discussion. The discussion, in which members of the audience will be invited to participate, will be facilitated by a panel chairperson. Following the opening session, workshop participants will be divided into small groups or a median group, where they will discuss and work through their emotional reactions to the discussion and thoughts. Presenters, responders and chairpersons will participate in the small groups at their own discretion. Names of presenters, responders and small-group facilitators will soon be published on our website. On the second and third day of the Workshop, one session of 90 minutes will be set for workshops and papers presentation.
** Sufi Whirling
A Sacred journey of movement, breath, sound & silence Towards the hidden point in our heart...
Sufism is the mystical tradition of Islam. Sufi is a mystical path born out of the wisdom of the heart.
The Sufis want to "know" through direct experience. One must taste in order to really know…
In this workshop, we'll use Sufi teachings and practices like whirling, Ziker (remembrance of the divine), poetry & music encouraging us to move towards the heart where authentic transformation and healing can happen. Emptying ourselves will help us to be a channel for the divine.
In Rumi's words – "Be like a hollow bamboo so god can make a flute out of you".
What is whirling?
Whirling is one of the main meditations of the Sufi path.
In whirling we join the movement of the cosmos. It is a way to unfold layers and dimensions of ourselfs, surrender to them, and disappear.
Whirling is a spiritual journey, where the soul can reach a state of union, and then come back to share its beauty & love.
Aseem Shaul Braha - leads groups of Sufi work and meditation, practices bodywork and the creator of the Sufi festival in Israel. for many years he travelled the world practicing bodywork and meditation. in 2003 he met the Sufi path and fell in love. since then he’s practicing and sharing this work in seminars, retreats and workshops around the world.
