EXCHANGE & GROWTH IN GROUPS
16-16 June 2016
Kibbutz Gonen
North Israel
The matrix of a group is shaped by the contribution of its members, its conductor and the past and present of the group as a whole. While enabling mutual fertilization, exchange and growth, it may as well limit its members. In its life cycle, a group moves between destruction and repair and between survival and transformation. The group finds its way from enactments of old scenes to the creation of new experience.
During the three days of the workshop, we will explore the mutual contributions of groups and their members. We will try to understand what facilitates growth and change, and what prevents it. We will look at the relationships between inside and outside: groups and their environment, individuals and their groups and the exchanges between them.
The program of each day will include a plenary lecture and a discussion, a large group and two small group sessions led by group analysts from Israel and Europe. Paper presentations and 90 minutes workshop will take place on the second and third day.
Plenary lectures will be given by Morris Nitsun (UK) and Linde Wotton (UK)
We invite Group Analysts and Group Therapists to submit abstracts to:
Sincerely,
Uri Levin and Dr. Ido Peleg, co-chairs of the scientific committee
Dr. Robi Friedman and Marit Joffe Milstein, Co-chairs of the workshop
